Lionel
has recorded and released 10 solo CDs, toured and performed in many
countries of Europe as well as numberous times across Canada and
parts of the USA. Lionel has shared the stage with many greats,
international stars and local jewels including Alanis Morissett,
Jethro Tull and the kings of Kalush, Braty Bluzu.
Lionel moved
over to Europe in 1992, leaving behind the band he shared with his
brother, The Corndogs and their recording deal with BMG Canada.
It took 15 years of living in different parts of Europe including
England, France, Spain, Greece, Austria, Hungary and Ukraine, many
miles of long winded stories and thousands of live performances
before Lionel was ready to move back to Canada. During those years
he played, performed and recorded with a wide spectrum of local
players including Spanish Gypsies, Ukrainian avantguard composers,
Celtic tunesmiths, British rockers, French poets, Hungarian folkies
and Austrian jazz meistros. Sometimes a finished recording came,
sometimes a series of live performances and sometimes just a private
combining of musical spirits.
Lionel is a
song writer of repute, winning a few awards along the way he writes
for himself as well as other recording artists and producers.
